What Is To Be Done? How to Take Action in Horrifying Times

March 17, 2026 7:00 p.m.

A headshot of Laura JedeedThe year is 2026, and the Trump administration violates the Constitution so regularly that it scarcely makes the news anymore. Masked paramilitary goons invade our cities, where they abduct, imprison, and murder people with apparent impunity. Warehouse concentration camps run by private prison companies mushroom into communities across the country. America's support of Israel's atrocities in Gaza continues, and we have once again destabilized the Middle East with an unprovoked war that promises to kill thousands. It is very easy to become overwhelmed at times like this. What can any of us do to stop this juggernaut? What meaningful actions can we take? This talk will explore what we can do, as individuals and as a collective, to fight back and keep our neighbors safe, and why we have reason to hope for a brighter, better future.
